Worcester Central Mosque

Summary:

Combi is currently delivering the Worcester Central Mosque, a flagship £4.2m new-build that blends traditional Islamic design language with contemporary construction. The project features a distinctive external façade incorporating Kufic-script brickwork, requiring precision setting-out, sample panels and close coordination between the masonry and glazing packages.

Our scope covers all major elements of the build—foundations, precast ground beams, in-situ concrete floors, structural brickwork, roofing, and curtain wall glazing—with Combi taking full responsibility for site coordination, H&S governance and stakeholder communication. Working closely with the client committee and the design team, we’ve maintained programme momentum while safeguarding design integrity, build quality and cultural considerations throughout.

With £1.75m of works completed to date, the project demonstrates Combi’s capability to deliver complex community assets on constrained urban sites—combining clear programme governance, robust quality assurance and respectful engagement with neighbours and faith-community stakeholders.
